Trinity Lutheran Churchwomen
Trinity Lutheran Churchwomen is the overall Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) organization of the congregation. All women are invited and encouraged to be a part of the LWML which is the official women's auxiliary of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS). The LWML seeks to develop and maintain a greater mission consciousness among the women of the Synod through education, inspiration, and service. A major emphasis is the support of mission and ministry throughout the world by means of mite box offerings. These mite box offerings have funded tens of millions of dollars in mission grants since the LWML's inception in 1942. Trinity Lutheran Churchwomen hosts three mite Sundays per year, to which anyone may contribute. Additional mite collections are taken by Trinity's LWML circles throughout the year.
Trinity Lutheran Churchwomen meet as a group twice a year at the annual Christmas Dinner and at the Spring Tea. All women of the congregation and friends are invited to those events. Additionally, Trinity Churchwomen members attend the Old Dominion Zone Rally in the spring and the Old Dominion Zone Workshop in the fall. The two Old Dominion Zone events are held at various Lutheran churches within the Richmond area on a rotational basis. Members also attend district and national LWML conferences and conventions.
Current officers for Trinity Lutheran Churchwomen are:
