Proclaiming and demonstrating the love of God through Jesus Christ!

Special Needs Ministry
Trinity began its Special Needs program in 1973, which provided a ministry specifically designed for children and adults who are mentally challenged. Currently our Special Needs Program has more than twenty active participants.

The focus of our program is the Sunday morning routine. The class attends church (9:45 - 11:00 am) as a group. Sunday school class meets from 11:00 am - 12 noon and includes Bible stories and other appropriate activities. Attendees may also participate in our Special Needs choir and Special Needs handbell choir. Each choir occasionally performs and adds special praise to our worship services. Personal confirmation classes are available to our attendees (pending individual mental capacities and desires).

Trinity attempts to establish a social connection in addition to our more spiritually focused Sunday morning activities. We host special parties and social engagements, including our annual Special Needs Picnic and Bingo Extravaganza. We also encourage and assist those with interest in participation in Special Olympics.

"VIP Kids" Class
This class is designed for children with special learning needs and meets Sunday mornings in Room 112. If you know of any children (Autistic, Down Syndrome, etc.) between the ages of three to fifteen who might benefit from this class, please contact Barb Coffin.
